IBM Cognos 8 Go! Search belongs to the IBM Cognos 8 Go! family of consumer modes designed to help you increase business intelligence user adoption rates within your organization.
These consumer modes let users view and consume BI content using familiar applications or devices, such as a BlackBerry®, search engine, MS Office application, or Web browser.
IBM Cognos 8 Go! Search provides users with a familiar, browser-based search bar, sophisticated ranking of results, and the ability to easily fine-tune those results.

- Easy search: Search full data content of reports, as well as titles, descriptions, and metadata layers. Boolean logic, phrases, and word stemming helps users fine-tune search terms and eliminate ambiguity.
- Most relevant data: Sophisticated ranking and contextual support of search criteria delivers the most relevant data. Customers can find related BI information from directly within reports using contextual search prompts.
- Fast results: IBM Cognos 8 Go! Search fully indexes existing BI content and supports the ability to specify search criteria using industry-standard tips and tricks, helping users find the right information quickly.

- Relational data sources supported by IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence.
- ERP data sources such as SAP BW, SAP R/3, and Siebel CRM.
